The 18-hole Castle Course is an undulating parkland course which has amazing views of the Kent countryside and Lullingstone Castle. The Course was originally built as a 9-hole course which was then extended with some beautiful par 5 holes extending the Course to 6713 yards which frequently plays to it’s maximum length.
The front 9 holes make their way out to the furthest point of the surrounding countryside from the Clubhouse, with some exciting par 4s – especially the 2nd and 4th holes. The course then loops round with the par 5, 6th and 7th holes, leading to the 8th hole where the green sits upon a hill. You then play homewards with the testing par 3 of the 9th hole, followed by a great par 5 of the 11th, along a valley. Then its full steam ahead playing the tough index 1, 12th hole, and difficult par 3 13th hole which is uphill and all carry. Once past this you return to the original part of the Course and you can try to make some birdies coming in, with the great par 4 of the 14th and slight dogleg right 15th hole. The nice little par 3 17th is a tricky green to hit but accuracy is often rewarded with a birdie, then straight on to Distant Hope, the 18th hole, with the Clubhouse waiting invitingly in front of you. Now it’s time to relax at the Lodge for a well-earned rest with great food and drink reminiscing about your round.
